The Spa

Located in a cozy thatched cabana in the heart of the rainforest, the Gaïa Spa is one all guests should experience during their stay at the lodge. Our one of a kind massage therapist will relax both your sore muscles and your busy mind. Because we believe in the power of nature, all our ingredients are natural, sourced from the Belizean, Guatemalan and Mexican wilderness and prepared locally. Our techniques and treatments feature the best of Belizean traditions, from banana and papaya facials to traditional deep-tissue massages. Early risers are welcome to join us on a complimentary guided nature walk to experience the Tropical Rainforest when it is at its liveliest. (scheduled as per weekly calendar)

Join us just after sunrise to view native and migrant birds as they begin their active day. This complimentary nature walk is guided by Gaïa’s nationally certified guide.

Advanced Bird Watching
Join a nationally certified guide specialized in birding for a walk at the crack of dawn. You can expect Warblers, Fly Catchers, Orioles, parrots, Toucans, and various others.

Nocturnal Rainforest Walk
Experience the sounds of our rainforest inhabitants at night! Heighten your senses as we turn off all lights and experience the true feel of this natural habitat.

Tour Our Organic Garden
Join Samuel, our expert Mayan organic farmer, at what he does best. Witness how our fruits and vegetables are organically grown and learn about Sam’s green approach.

Caracol Tour
Our first stop on this day tour, the most recently excavated ancient Mayan site of Caracol, is located deep in the Chiquibul Rainforest, and dates back to the 7th century AD.

Mountain Pine Ridge Tour
This full-day tour visits Belize’s largest national park. In the Hidden Valley area you’ll visit the picturesque “1000-foot waterfalls.” Next stop is the famous Rio Frio Cave!

Macal River & Archaeological Tour
This full-day tour starts with a canoe ride down the Macal River, flowing through the towns of San Ignacio and Santa Elena, followed by the archaeological site of Xunantunich

Barton Creek & Butterfly Farm
This full-day tour enables you to experience one of the most ancient and magnificent Belizean Mayan sites by canoe. We'll stop quickly at the Green Hill Butterfly Farm.
